Today we had to leave Empire. I really enjoyed the day off there. Met a lot of cool people, entertained some of the people with disabilities, dressed as a zombie, the day was truly phenomenal. It was a real experience spending time with the people we ride for because the team only has an opportunity to interact with others for a very brief period of time.

The day started off really cold. I was not having it so I spent most of my time staying inside lodging to stay warm. Eventually we got to the road and it took a while for everything to warm up.

The ride was pretty standard. Nothing too out of the ordinary. 12 miles in there was a brief 2 mile climb. During the ride I saw a deer run through traffic. It was pretty intriguing. We then ride through a steady downhill and dealt with flats as well.

*reached the bottom
*rode through another mountain
*reached the top of Lookout Mountain
*dangerous downhill with plenty of cutbacks
*kyle went really slow
*reaching the bottom was flats and we passed a couple guys from the Trans America route
*reached the destination which was Sports Authority Field with the Trans America team and went on the field
*Ate chipotle burrito for lunch
*Had a police escort bring us to arrival in the middle of Denver
*Big arrival which was a great accomplishment
*Rode to Marriott Hotel and later went to a Rockies game
*boring game Rockies lost 8-0
*ended the night going out with the team
