Waking up in the morning and forcing myself to get going is always a tough process. The cold weather does not make it any better and it only makes me more agitated. However the day was a fairly easy day once everything set in place.. The only problems was going on was the crosswinds were insane. Reports said that the winds were as strong as 25 mph and it was felt whenever we were going downhill and traveling at fast speeds. The gusts made me lose balance many times but it was another challenge that all the JOH cyclists had to overcome and that was what we did.

Baker was another town similar to Austin and Eureka. I really have to disagree when people say that their towns are boring. Once you explore other parts of the world and experience other places, you really take stuff for granted. There is literally nothing in these towns and they have to constantly have to travel multiple miles every week to purchase basic necessities. I do not have a license at the moment but I am used to going on a 5 minute ride to get what I needed. Here it takes a couple hours just going on one end to purchase basic needs.

After the ride all of the JOH members went inside an old cave which was 500 million years old and it was cool to see what formed over time.

We then had a dinner by some locals of Baker and enjoyed the meals again. My favorite foods were funeral potato, chocolate lava cake, and there were some sauces that made the meals more appealing.

The day ended with a leadership building exercise and I could reflect on everything we did so far. I am enjoying myself at the moment but feel I can improve one mingling with others.
