~Nice little gestures~

Yesterday my mother and sister had gone out to buy some stuff,
and while they were gone I wanted to do something truly special to make them happy once they came back home.
I'm not the kind of guy who's good at making food, I rarely do stuff like that.
But I decided to make them some swirly pizza buns. But timing was essential, if I made them right away they would get cold. No one (except me) likes cold swirly pizza buns.
After a few hours I decided it was time to make them.
I had already prepared the dough beforehand, the toppings too.
So after rolling the pizza to a sausage shape, cutting it up in lesser parts, and putting it in the oven...
I had to wait. This part is always the tricky part, my mother wasn't any good with it. And to be honest I was fearing my swirly pizza buns would become a total failure, aka. burnt.
I checked on them regularly until I was pleased with the golden color they had, I took them out of the oven and let them cool off.
About 10 minutes later my mother and sister came home, and boy they were hungry. The best part was that my mother insisted they were the best Swirly pizza buns she had ever tasted.
And my hard to please sister liked them too! Success!
The next day (today) I decided to do something special for my mother and sister again.
So I made them cupcakes, female dogs love cupcakes.
And so does my family! Another success on my part!
- The End.

So my question to the forum is: Have you ever done something like this for your family? If yes tell me about it
